2011 Holiday part 2 Scotland.

My main purpose in this trip was to scatter my mum and dads ashes at Loch Lomond. We organised for the family to meet there. The weather was horrendous. Fortunately we managed to get a break, when the rain stopped for about 30 minutes. After we spread the ashes we all went for lunch.

After spreading the ashes we spent a few days catching up with family and friends then we spent a few days just travelling around before leaving for Italy.

We knew we would not have very long before the rain started again. By the way that’s not a monk it’s Linda with her hood up.
The water is usually further down from the picnic setting.
Took a drive to Inveraray Castle.
The weather was nice so we walked right around the castle.
A very different castle from Inveraray. This was a fortress not a stately home. Dunstaffnage Castle.
Looking down the Royal Mile.
John Knox House
St. Giles Cathedral.
Wrapped up for the rain. It never kept us in.
A water fountain moved into the museum building.
Scotland’s National amusements
This area had only recently been opened up after being closed for many years.
A sunny day in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street.
Caught up with Catriona a friend from school days in Linwood.
