This is where the train used to stop for Alcatraz.View of Alcatraz Prison from the mainland.I really enjoyed listen to the audio as we walked around the island.I alway want to walk across iconic bridges rather than just looking at them from the shore.Before we started our walk Linda said she feels sure that it will be cold on the bridge Not at all I say😁Okay it was cold.I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with Pier 39. I am not sure what I expected. I think I had envisaged more history and less tourist shops. Had to include at least one pic of the Sea Lions. Four wee monkeys in a row. Speak no evil. Say no evil. -???- Hear no evil. Okay I admit this is just a photo opportunity. The tram was going nowhere. Had a great few hours taking far too many pictures in the Japanese gardens at the Golden Gate Park. Walked up and down Lombard Street. AKA the Zig Zag Road Had to stop for a beer as I have had a few in Edinburgh and Rockingham Last Drop Taverns.
