Although this was our second time in Venice, we still got a buzz walking out of the railway station and looking straight onto the Grand Canal.The Olive was hughe in Linda’s Venice Aperol Spritz.Linda, second on the right with the striped jumper, is standing right outside our accommodation’s tiny street, more like a narrow allyway.The famous Rialto Bridge.It was a hot day and St Mark’s Plaza was mobbed.Two views from the tower at St Mark’s Plaza.That’s the smallest outdoor restaurant I’ve seen.Clearly, you can see the double whammy of a rising sea and a sinking city.The seagull was a right posser.The famous Bridge of Sighs. The court is on the left, and the prison is on the right. It’s said it got its name from prisoners crossing and looking out before they entered the dark prison’s confinement and for many their death.It was priceless seeing the astonished look on the faces of the women when they saw the size of the beers they had ordered.Last photo opportunity before we get on the train heading back to Rome.
