2024 Scotland and Northern Ireland & Singapore

Left at 10.20 pm from Perth Airport 12 June, stopping at Dubai and landing in Glasgow 12.45pm (mid day) on the 13th.

Carrowmoney, where the McLaughlin family lived between the late 1700s to early 1900s, was about a mile from Hamiltonsbawn.

While we were there there was a Red Arrow‘s display flyover for Armed Forces Day.

Part of the basements had been used as a morgue during WWI. Some of the stories of how the families were treated being made to pay the bill for the shroud and left to cart their, father, brother, or son home themselves was a total disgrace and shame on the government.

Next stop was walking around Maryhill, where both Linda and I were born.
Back at Largs
The Pencil, as it’s known, commemorates the Battle of Largs between the Scots and the Vikings in 1263

We have already done the sight seeing in Singapore so this stop off was just a relaxing 5 days.

A change of scenery and climate. First night at Singapore’s Boat Quay The meal was lovely.
